Dave Sterrett, Esq.
Dave Sterrett, Esq. is the principal of Sterrett Law, PLC. Dave is a magna cum laude graduate from Middlebury College ('99) and a cum laude graduate of Boston College Law School ('04). After graduating from law school, Dave was a judicial clerk in Massachusetts for a year. Dave then split his time between Boston and Washington, DC practicing law at a large firm and lobbying on Capitol Hill on health care issues. In 2014, Dave started his own firm with offices in Boston and Shelburne, Vermont.
Dave is admitted to practice law in the State of Vermont, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont. Dave is a licensed real estate broker in Massachusetts and Vermont and a licensed real estate salesperson in Virginia. He is fluent in written and spoken French.
Liz Bostwick, Esq.
Elizabeth Bostwick is “Of Counsel” at Sterrett Law, PLC and Principal of the Law Office of Elizabeth L. Bostwick. A graduate of Boston College and Northeastern School of Law, Liz is a trial and litigation attorney who represents individuals, businesses, government entities, and public employees in civil and criminal litigation. She has litigated and tried both civil and criminal cases in the state and federal courts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and administrative agencies including the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
Prior to opening her own firm in 2010, Attorney Bostwick served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel for the City of Boston and litigated a wide range of cases for the City –employment, zoning, civil rights, tort, licensing, and contract law. Liz is dedicated to helping young people learn about the court system and the law and has volunteered for the Citizens Schools Project, the Boston Bar Association’s Law Day, and as a judge for the American Bar Association’s National Moot Court Trial Judge.
Caryn Connolly, Esq.
Caryn L. Connolly, Esq. is an Associate at Sterrett Law, PLC. Caryn graduated cum laude from both Stevens Institute of Technology (’08) with a Bachelors of Engineering and Vermont Law School (’16), where she also earned a certificate in Experiential Advocacy. While still at law school, Caryn was an editor for the Vermont Law Review, interned with the Environmental Law Clinic, and spent a semester in
practice with a local attorney. After graduating from law school, Caryn worked for a firm based in Connecticut where she handled a variety of cases, including those in the civil and probate courts and cases involving real estate.
Caryn is admitted to practice law in the State of Vermont and the U.S. District Court for the District of Vermont. Caryn is also a licensed Notary Public in Vermont.
Mary Ann Livingston | Senior Paralegal and Marketing Manager
Mary Ann Livingston is Senior Paralegal and Marketing Manager at Sterrett Law, PLC. Since joining the firm in 2015, Mary Ann has focused on issues affecting entrepreneurs and small businesses and has developed an expertise in trademark law as integral to the branding process. This is a natural segue from her 25 years as a communications consultant in New York, DC, LA, and Boston working with Fortune 500 companies, NGO’s and entrepreneurs to define and communicate their vision, mission, and unique brand to all key audiences. Her work with trademark law has given her the tools to help businesses strengthen their brand by protecting their mark. Mary Ann returned from the 2018 Clio Cloud Conference in New Orleans with new tools to create an exceptional client experience through every stage of the trademark process.
Danielle Pezzimenti | Director of Real Estate Development and Research
Danielle Pezzimenti is the Director of Real Estate Development and Research at Sterrett Law, PLC. Danielle is a graduate of McGill University (‘02), and an MLitt with Honors graduate of the University of Aberdeen (‘05) in Scotland. For over 15 years Danielle has worked with individual investors and businesses. She began her career in the securities industry helping clients with their financial planning and investment allocation needs. After transitioning into hard assets with the creation of her real estate brokerage, Piper Realty, Danielle continued to develop her expertise assisting individual and commercial investors to build their real estate portfolios and implement their development plans. With a focus on areas of development, real estate, and emerging cannabis law, Danielle is able to incorporate her real estate and investment background in order to help Sterrett Law clients with their complex zoning and business needs. Danielle brings an intelligent and compassionate approach to building long-term holistic client relationships.
Lia Rubel | Director of Accounting and Finance
Lia Rubel is the Director of Accounting and Finance at Sterrett Law, PLC. As a Finance and Quantitative Sciences major at Emory University, she brings a wealth of talent to the firm with her operations and marketing prowess. She is highly involved in helping the firm leverage technology to better serve its clients. Lia also helps develop cutting-edge marketing strategy to achieve client goals.
Alyssa Yantz | Intern
Alyssa Yantz is the Intern at Sterrett Law, PLC. She is a Castleton University student majoring in Sociology and is involved with their Cannabis Certificate Program. With this knowledge, she will be able to assess factors from multiple perspectives to provide additional insight into the expanding industry. She is involved with monitoring the progression of draft regulations that the State of Vermont proposes and updating the team with changes that transpire in order to inform clients on how adjustments of the developing laws may affect their businesses.
